The selection of spending data is extracted from Table 3
of Details of Expenditures by Standard Object as
published in Public Accounts of Canada and is limited to the Total Gross Expenditures by department.
This selection excludes revenues netted against expenditures, as reported for
each ministry in the ministerial sections of Volume ll.
The Standard Object presentation of
expenditures is related to the goods and services acquired.
The transfer payments of the expenditures selection is for the
federal ministries and excludes the support payments made to the
Provinces and Territories.
